OPT Hosts a Move to Amend Educational Forum

The OPT Move to Amend Working Group requests consensus for OPT sponsorship of an Educational Forum to be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at Chimacum High School’s Auditorium featuring Fran Korten, Publisher of YES! Magazine, and Steve Reisler, Seattle Chapter President of the National Lawyers Guild, on the history and consequences of the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United v Federal Election Commission. The purpose of this forum is to focus on the need to pass and ratify a Constitutional Amendment
establishing that corporations are artificial entities without Constitutional rights, subject to regulations through federal, state or local laws; and that federal, state and local government shall regulate, limit or prohibit contributions and expenditures to influence elections.
